didn’t do him, and us, a lot of good because it’s 
said that this stuff belongs in paperback as well as 
the university library shelves. But for me 
personally, I sit down with The Gutenberg Galaxy  
and I say, this is strong, this is the Marshall 
McLuhan whose memory I keep vigorously alive. 
That, and the Marshall McLuhan in front of the 
fireplace in Wychwood Park, investigating, 
investigating, investigating, try this, try this.


Q:  Why haven’t there been more Marshall 
McLuhans? Why haven’t we seen more figures in 
the media galvanizing people like McLuhan did?
